Sliced bread

Sometimes inspiration hits me. Bits and pieces, before undetermined, combine in a spectacular synthesis. Sliced bread has nothing on this one. I try to put it in the context of reality, where soon i see the necessary actions to be performed to make this happen. I realize my need for specific information. My trusty google and wikipedia by my side, i lustily start finding searchterms which help me find my precious info.
Then i see it, the perfect description of my idea. A few words, a near scientific encapsulation of the whole array of thoughts surrounding my glorious concept. The description turns out to be a link. A link to a webring, with accompanying wiki. Apparently my idea has already been perfected by some assembly of enthousiasts. I whimper, not knowing if i should be happy or not. Luckily i am soon distracted by new bits and new pieces. Now to make me a sandwich.

The Annotated Bible

What is it like to bat a bee

A nice essay, famous too...
Read it and weep, or smile, or send out echolocation-signals.
What is it like to be a bat.

A Few Bits OF Fun

If you, like me, have played computergames in the past, and have had a lot of fun doing it, and if you, like me, are prone to experience feelings of nostalgia in a pleasurable way, the site to go to is Home Of The Underdogs. There is an enormous collection there, with most of the games free for download. It does focus on PC-games, for other consoles from the past, go to Emulator-zone, or for C64 stuff, visit c64.com, or play them online (java-based) at c64s.com. Im sure you won't, but you can spend all your time reliving yours and other peoples youth. Kill time, have fun, resurrect time, and play some more.

Bertrand to the rescue

Just to show people how much i feel the need to justify myself and my choices i searched for some philosopher who agrees with me, and arrived at Bertrand Russel. He wrote this essay: In Praise Of Idleness.
If you read it you will see he is a funny man. Here's more of him.

Colbert Retort

Stephen Colbert is funny. The content of his jokes is funny. His character is one I can't really get enough of. So thats why I post the googlevideolink of his bit at the correspondents dinner, where Bush was present. Also his show is worth checking out, a lot of the show is watchable on this site. And what the hell, the daily show also gets a link. Now stop mailing me about that Jon!!

Finally

Oooff... i just love people trying to convince me!! They're so cute!! Here is an entire series made by people who want to convince me i will go to hell, and that they don't want this!! I must say, at least they care about whether i spend eternity in god's bad book.
It stars Mikey Seaver!!! From 'Growing Pains'.... ehm.... a series in the nineties? Anyways, here's the link: Way Of The Master

Waiting for the hunter

As i was looking out of my window, i saw stars (in between the clouds that is). Now i have this terribly handy piece of software which can tell me exactly what i want to know about what im looking at. It's called Stellarium, and it tells me that my beloved Orion will not be visible till somewhere in october. What a pity.

The first one always goes wrong..

This is supposed to be a somewhat more serious, though not necessarily more comprehensible blog. It will be a dump for my ideas, links, thoughts, you know, what the blog was made for. Notice the apprehension with which i write this short piece. You can expect the same in future posts, though they will be a little bit more relevant, at least to the topic.
So... Enjoy!!!! (I know I will)
